To mark its 65th anniversary, Gong Fu Teahouse is celebrating six and a half decades of Chinese tea culture with the Moonlight Treasure Box. The anniversary collection is tailored specifically for family reunions, offering a curated lineup of signature teas intended to balance out the richness of festive feasts.

The Moonlight Treasure Box allows customers to tailor a gift set by selecting two signature loose-leaf blends from three flagship varieties, each chosen for its ability to cut through heavy holiday meals:

  • Gongfu Tea: A high-fire roast crafted for a deep aroma and long-lasting throat feel.
  • Ginseng Oolong: A smooth base with a distinct natural sweetness coating the palate.
  • Aged Pu’er: A rich, velvety tea aged under local ‘Hong Kong cellar’ conditions to develop a earthy, mellow profile.

How much does the Gongfu Teahouse Mid-Autumn set cost?

The Moonlight Treasure Box retails at HK$590, with an early bird price of HK$550 running until September 13 with a buy two get one free promotion. Orders can be placed across all Gongfu Teahouse locations in Hong Kong, including their shops at AIRSIDE in Kai Tak and Lee Tung Avenue in Wan Chai.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the brand also recently introduced an AI humanoid ambassador named Gong Zai created with Unitree Robotics. The tech ambassador made a brief pop-up appearance at the AIRSIDE branch to perform Wing Chun and demonstrate brewing techniques—a nod to bridging traditional tea craft with a bit of modern novelty.
