Another October, another excuse to consume an absurd amount of beer in the name of Oktoberfest. The Central Market x Stormies Oktoberfest 2026 is officially back for its fourth edition, this year running from October 8 to 31 with plenty of Bavarian boozing, live music, traditional food, and some family fun.

What is happening at Central Market this October?

Taking over the G/F OASIS courtyard, the venue will operate as an open-air Munich hall featuring evening entertainment, scumptious food, and ice-cold draft pours. German folk band Die Notenhobler returns to headline the stage, playing live sets every evening to keep the vibes going. Guests will also be able to put their stamina to the test across three classic festival challenges:

  • The Mighty Mug Hold Challenge: Test your arm strength by holding a fully loaded beer stein straight out at shoulder height for as long as humanly possible.
  • The Drinking Challenge: Down a 1,000ml beer stein in the fastest time.
  • Balloon Burst Bonanza: A race to pump and pop balloons faster than your competitors.

What food and drinks are on the menu?

The festival features classic German dishes alongside imported Bavarian beers curated by chefs Joern Henninger and Angelo McDonnell. Guests can order classic festive staples including roasted pork knuckle, grilled German Nuremberg sausages, and apple strudel. On draft, the bar is serving Löwenbräu and Franziskaner beers poured into commemorative stein-style mugs.

Is Central Market Oktoberfest family friendly?

Central Market runs a dedicated family session every Sunday afternoon during the festival run. Between 3pm and 7pm on Sundays, the Family & Kids Oktoberfest adapts the schedule for younger visitors. Die Notenhobler shift to family-friendly sets featuring German children’s tracks and chicken dance sing-alongs, while other on-site activities include face painting, fuse bead workshops, and interactive game booths. Kids’ tickets (HK$130) also come with a mini burger with fries, gelato, juice, and a souvenir hat and mug.

How much are tickets and how do you book?

Ticket prices vary depending on the day of the week, with all adult passes including food, drinks, and merch.Standard entry includes a 500ml glass of beer, a main course valued at HK$168, a souvenir mug, and a beerfest hat. Digital passes are available through the Chef’s Market website and mobile app, while physical tickets can be bought at the Chef’s Market Salad Counter inside Central Market. CCG Hearts members will enjoy a 12% discount via their app.
