Hong Kong China International Tattoo Exhibition

The Hong Kong China International Tattoo Exhibition returns to Soho House Hong Kong from October 16 to 18, bringing a mix of international ink masters, AI technology, and live music to Sheung Wan. Organised by local tech firm Oh My Ink, this year’s edition lets visitors test-drive potential tattoos using world-first AI try-on machines before committing to the needle.

AI-powered tattoo try-on machine

The first AI-powered tattoo previews land in Sheung Wan

Oh My Ink’s AI try-on technology allows visitors to preview custom artwork directly on their skin in real time. Built using computer vision, the system reads body contours, muscle lines, and skin tone so you can adjust scale and placement before an artist touches your skin. Founder John Ip designed the tech to take the guesswork out of consultations, ensuring you won’t regret that impulse decision three weeks later.

Live sets and guitar showcases take over Soho House

A curated musical lineup featuring DJ Fergus, Just Play The Guitar, and 1208studio will run alongside the convention. DJ Fergus brings a sharp mix of house, grime, and electro, while local collective Just Play The Guitar delivers acoustic fingerstyle sets. Over at the 1208studio zone, guitarist Samirze Kong will showcase custom instruments from Shijie Guitars alongside live rock performances.

Exclusive merch and live artist competitions close out the weekend

Hangzhou-based tattoo artist Meow Meow has designed the official ‘2026 CHIBI’ commemorative T-shirt, blending Y2K nostalgia, anime culture, and classic tattoo fonts. The event wraps up on October 18 with a live competition across Black & Grey, Colour, and Schoolwork categories, judged by international industry veterans. Winning artists will walk away with top honors alongside Oh My Ink AI try-on units for their studios.
