MegaBox has added a massive 10-metre furry inflatable corgi to its Level 18 rooftop, giving visitors another reason to stare at a giant sleeping dog while taking in harbour views.

MegaBox introduces Mega Art Space on the L18 rooftop garden

The new installation forms part of the Mega Art Space project, a collaboration with local platform Art Dreamers that pairs giant animal murals with 3D art.

Veteran artist Li Hok Fung painted a series of cat and dog murals live on site, including a five-metre-long piece and a corgi mural fitted with a 3D inflatable tail. Alongside his professional pieces, the display features winning artworks from a student drawing competition, giving local kids their 15 minutes of gallery fame.

Mochi the corgi sits squarely on the 30,000 sq. ft. rooftop lawn, designed to look like he has leapt straight out of the wall mural.

The giant inflatable dog features detailed faux fur and a perpetually sleeping face. Positioned against the floor-to-ceiling glass backdrop, he offers visitors an unusual foreground element for their Victoria Harbour sunset photographs. The installation remains on the Level 18 lawn until October 4.

Nightly light shows illuminate the garden every evening

When the sun goes down, the rooftop transitions into an interactive outdoor light show set to music.

Running nightly from 7.30pm to 9pm until September 13, illuminated cat and dog projections dance across the space alongside the East Kowloon skyline views. While it might not replace proper night-life plans, it offers a pleasant enough excuse to stay past dark.
