If you thought Kai Tak was done making headlines for aviation drama, think again. Local coffee heavyweights noc have officially set up shop at Cullinan Sky Mall, bringing their trademark brand of polished minimalism to a neighbourhood historically more famous for nail-biting runway landings.

Spanning an airy 2,000 square feet with seating for 66 (including a 20-seat outdoor terrace for those who prefer their flat whites with a side of fresh air), the space nods directly to its surroundings. The design theme, “Echoes of Kai Tak,” centres around a floating overhead “paper plane” installation framed by LED light strips designed to mirror the gentle lift-off of a departing plane. Paired with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, warm wooden finishes, and curved seating designed to mimic the Hong Kong skyline, it is precisely the sort of serene retreat you will want to park yourself in when the urban grind gets a bit much.

Coffee without the counter

At the centre of it all sits a 360-degree Open Island Coffee Bar. Built from acoustically treated wood panels, the bar removes the physical wall between you and the barista. Whether you are after a precision hand drip or a standard morning espresso, you get a front-row seat to the whole operation.

Grab-and-go wellness (and a protein upgrade)

Recognising that Kai Tak’s local workforce and residents aren’t always lingering for an hour over an artisanal pour, noc is launching its first-ever Grab-and-Go range here. You will find health-conscious Super Bowls (salmon, prawn, or chicken breast at HK$88 each), alongside quick bites like the Spinach Poached Egg Cup (HK$28), Granola Yogurt Cup (HK$38), and their staple Banana Pound Cake (HK$28).

For those trying to hit their daily macro goals without drinking chalky powder, noc has also introduced a high-protein yogurt drink series (HK$65). Highlights include the Banana Chocolate Yogurt Drink and the PB Toast Yogurt Drink. If you have hit the gym beforehand, you can throw in an extra scoop of Double Chocolate or Vanilla protein for HK$20.
